Most Malaysia dive liveaboards are geared towards certified divers and it is often not possible to get SCUBA certified on the boat. Most divers joining these liveaboards have some experience.

If you wish to further your dive training on a liveaboard trip that is normally possible. Advanced courses and speciality courses are available, although pre booking may be necessary.

Popular specialty courses are Enriched Air Nitrox and Photography courses. These type of courses can be easily integrated into the scheduled dives on the trip without any disruption.
